Many ant species rank amongst worst invasive species. Lasius neglectus and Tapinoma nigerrimum have invaded different urban sites in Belgium. I am particularly interested how they interact with native ant species and how they engage into new symbiotic associations with either parasitic myrmecophiles or mutualistic aphids. (collaboration with Wouter Dekoninck, RBINS)
